CAL Designer Spotlight: Violet Loops
One of the best parts of hosting a CAL is inviting your friends along to join in the fun. Before we jump into the CAL I wanted to take a moment to introduce each of the designers involved in the CAL and share their eligible designs for the event.
If you are new here, you can find the information about the CAL here.
Get to know Violet Loops
Jennifer Lovett is the Tennesee-based crochet & Tunisian crochet designer behind Violet Loops. Jennifer’s designs range from home goods to accessories to garments. Her early portfolio shows her love for the cozy season with lovely holiday-themed patterns like tree skirts and runners. Meanwhile, her accessory patterns are made to honor the hand dyed yarn they are designed with. I especially enjoy her ability to seamlessly fade colors in her most recent designs.
Garments are also becoming Jenifer’s jam. The Explorer Sweater has a classic construction with adaptable details. This sweater and her other garments are size-inclusive. I know that the next garment to be released will be a beauty, so be sure to follow Jennifer’s work. Prepare to be Influenced ;)
You can find more of Jennifer’s designs on Ravelry, Payhip & Etsy.
Keep up with Jennifer:

Mini Skein CAL Details
We will begin our CAL on 1/1 and it will end 2/11. This will give you 6 weeks to complete your project. Now is the time to start thinking about what design you would like to complete.
Where
This event will take place on my Discord Server. If you are already a member you can go to the RoleSelect channel to add CAL participant to your role. If you are new to my Discord server, you will be prompted to select your primary craft and indicate that you are joining the CAL.
why
Because if you’re anything like me, you have far more mini skeins than what you know what to do with! Maybe you bought a countdown box and it didn’t have a pattern included, maybe the pattern included wasn’t to your liking, or maybe…you bought minis with reckless abandon all year long without a project in mind. Whatever the reason, those minis are languishing unused doesn’t matter. What matters is that we put them to good use!
so what’s next?
Over the next few days you will be introduced to all of the designers participating in the CAL. I can’t wait to share who I’ve partnered with! Make sure you are a subscriber to my newsletter to stay updated on what is going on with the CAL.
For now, start gathering your minis and dream of color combinations for your next masterpiece!
