Savannah Summer Shawl
I think we can all agree that worsted weight yarn is incredible versatile size for crocheters! It works up quickly so quickly and is widely available. Unfortunately, it still gets a bad wrap in the drape department. That’s where the Savannah Summer Shawl comes in. It is a bottom up fillet crochet triangle shawl that provides incredible drape WITH the satisfaction of a quick make. Not to mention is it a perfect stash make. You can create yours with color blocking, as I did in my sample, scraps or all in one color. Feel free to check out the versions on Ravelry to see what others did.
There are versions with solid colors, Self Striping yarn and variegated yarn. You can’t go wrong!
You can make this bad boy in a weekend if you are really determined.
Psst* Worsted weight not your jam? That’s cool. This pattern adapts well to any weight of yarn.

My sample uses just 3 skeins of worsted to complete. Two skeins of LolaBean Yarn Co. in Georgia Peach and one Skein of Malabrigo Rios in Gris. A total of just 550 yards!

This pattern utilizes a variation of a double crochet stitch to keep each of the stitches stacked directly on top of each other. This stitch can be a bit tricky so I recommend grabbing a crochet hook with a pointier head to make it a bit easier. Rounder headed hooks will provide you with more of a challenge. I used a size US J/6.mm Tulip Etimo Crochet hook.
